Hi, I’m gay! And my name is Amanda Holland!

I’m a former BuzzFeed video producer who started a queer youtube channel called GirlShipTV back in 2017. Since then we’ve produced over 5 series, 3 short films, Many many videos and acquired over 130,000 subscribers. But budgets to make queer content are TIGHT!

So that’s why I’m here and testing out a new merchandise powered production company!

But what the heck is a merchandise powered production company? It’s what we are calling,

FRUITY PRODUCTIONS!

How does it work?

We design super queer merchandise, you buy the merchandise, all profits from said merchandise go directly into our production budget to make queer content.

It’s like crowdfunding but without the pressure of crowdfunding.

And if you don’t want to buy anything but still want to support us, become an associate producer by donating on our website!

This company will work alongside GirlShipTV to make more queer content than before (hopefully… We are still in the middle of the pandemic and health and safety is our number one concern.)

Not only will it give us the opportunity to fund our projects but also (assuming we find some success) we can branch out and help others to tell their queer stories as well!

Because while queer stories are being told more frequently these days, there are still many people within our community who are not being represented and we want to help them get their voice out there!

Most of the content we produce will be going to our YouTube channel GirlShipTV, but we decided to make the company separate in order to help produce stuff that may not fit on a youtube channel.

TL; DR

Fruity Productions is a merchandise powered production company using any profit from merchandise sold to feed into our production budget for many of the projects we are hoping to make.
